Ohio premiere of "Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home" draws over 600 to the Cleveland Institute of Art's Aitken Auditorium

CARA’s inaugural event was held in June 2010 -- Ohio's premiere of the award-winning documentary "Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home". With an astounding 600+ people in attendance at the Cleveland Institute of Art's Aitken auditorium – a standing-room-only crowd – this was the film’s largest screening since its release and one of the largest crowds for any film screening at CIA!

Producer, James LaVeck, commented that our Cleveland premiere was “one of the most powerful events he had ever been a part of”. Both he and director Jenny Stein, felt that this Cleveland screening of their film radiated the strongest audience emotion that they have yet witnessed. The energy in the room was palpable.

An enlightening post-film Q&A session was moderated by director Jenny Stein, producer James LaVeck and film subject Harold Brown. Audience members then mingled with the filmmakers and each other at our post-film reception in the CIA’s lounge and courtyard while enjoying delicious vegan desserts, appetizers and beverages donated from veg-friendly businesses throughout Northeast Ohio.

CARA would like to thank all who were able to join us for this amazing event and the many volunteers who donated their time and talents to make it such a phenomenal success!! We look forward to seeing you at future events…
